Twelve months on…

Well 2016 has been a big year for me, January saw the birth of my son Ollie James, who is now 11 months old, I got married to Chris October 29th and now we’re about to embark on the biggest thing any of us have done, and that’s move to South Wales, to the village of Tylorstown in the Rhondda Valley.

I’m planning to start using Ham Radio again once we’re settled in, as there’s a nice location just down the road which is a mountain that should be a great location for operating from, and with my 2 Step Boys, we’ll be going along to the Rhondda Amateur Radio Society and joining in the fun and getting the lads through their Foundation licence so they can enjoy the hobby also.

This is the view from the property… LOVELY!!

We chose to move after our honeymoon in November and after my Dad was given the all clear of his Cancer after 5 years.  All the children fell in love with the area the day we accepted the property.

Schools are within walking and bus journeys, and the children have all been accepted by the chosen schools, so our job is done. For me, it’s a sad but exciting time, as I’ll be leaving the town I grew up in over the last 41 years, but it’s a fresh start for all of us, especially now we have Ollie!!

2017 came in with my family and I celebrating it with a few friends, but now the countdown has begun with less than 2 weeks to go till we leave Willenhall for the last time. What does this year have in store? I know one thing, I’m planning on being more active on the radio, along with my Step Sons Peter and Declan once they’ve passed the Foundation Course.
